Treatment Overview

Revolutionary Skin Renewal with HALO®

HALO® is a groundbreaking hybrid fractional laser that addresses multiple skin concerns, including wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars, and uneven tone.

Using both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, it treats the skin’s surface and deeper layers in just 1-2 sessions. The 2940 nm wavelength resurfaces the skin for smoother texture, while the 1470 nm wavelength stimulates collagen and repairs deeper damage. HALO delivers both immediate and lasting skin improvement.

Laser Treatment

Targets
Wrinkles & fine lines, sun damage, acne scars, signs of aging, pigmented lesions, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, collagen building.

Overview
HALO is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, combining ablative 2940 nm and non-ablative 1470 nm wavelengths to address multiple levels of skin concerns on all skin types in 1-2 treatments.

The 2940 nm wavelength targets the top-most layer of skin, the epidermis. This is ideal for true skin resurfacing of acne scars, pore size, and uneven skin texture.

The 1470 nm wavelength targets the dermis, the thickest layer of the skin, and can be tuned to address deeper sun damage, stimulate collagen, and remove other dermal pigmentary issues.

Together, these wavelengths provide both short-term and long-term benefits. By creating small thermal injuries in the skin, new, healthy skin is produced in a short amount of time.

HALO is often combined with BBL HERO for optimal photo-rejuvenation.

Treatment Plan
Remarkable results can be achieved in 1-2 treatments. When treating patients with deeper acne scars, HALO may be combined with ProFractional Laser for deeper resurfacing and may require multiple sessions spaced over a longer period of time.

Improved skin clarity and radiance are typically seen after ten days. Maintenance treatments are typically done every 8-12 months.

What To Expect
On the day of treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for approximately 40 minutes. The treatment itself is quick, typically taking no more than 20-30 minutes. Immediate aftercare will be provided by the team.

Side Effects
Common side effects of HALO® treatment include feeling of warmth and swelling. Some swelling can occur and is expected immediately after treatment. Rarely, change of skin pigmentation (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation) may occur.

Infection is not common after treatments. Signs of an infection can be: Fever of 100F or greater, pus material, extreme pain and skin that is hot to the touch, redness or a rash that does not disappear. FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

HALO is a complete skin revitalization laser treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, improved skin reflectivity and glow, and significant removal of discoloration.

What’s great about HALO is that you can choose how many treatments you want! Discuss your needs with your clinician and you can choose to have one or two more aggressive treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.

Thirty minutes to an hour before the treatment your clinician may place a topical anesthetic on your skin to reduce the sensation during the procedure. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. Your clinician will treat each measured area by uniformly rolling the HALO handpiece over your skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete.

With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.

For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours your skin will begin to peel, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing your new skin beneath.

You will see initial results between two and five days after your HALO treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.

HALO results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin. Each additional HALO treatment you get will only improve the results, giving you even better looking skin.

Each HALO treatment is customized for your skin, and your lifestyle. Depending on your needs, your provider may recommend a single treatment, or a series of treatments. In order to find out which is the best option for you, please visit a provider near you for a consultation.
